EWU Eagle Eye Morning Links

What better way to start this Thursday morning, the eve of the Eastern Washington Eagles 2014-2015 campaign than with some Eagle Eye links?

We'll take a look around the internet for Big Sky Conference previews as well as any interesting coverage of the Eagles and their first opponent of the season, the Texas Southern Tigers.




Jonathan Reed of bigskybasketball.com continues his excellent coverage of the Big Sky Conference with his 2014 preview, and while you are there do not forget to check out his preview of the Eagles squad as well.  I'll give you a hint, he thinks the Eagles will finish 4th in the Big Sky.

Jim Allen of the Spokesman Review posted his preview of tomorrow's game, as well as 5 keys to their success this season.  He also gives us a look at the Big Sky Conference coaches and Media poll, which is picking Eastern to finish 2nd.

Goeags.com previews the first 3 games, all of which are happening over the next seven days.

Fox News seems to think "There are not a lot of mysteries in the Big Sky Conference in the 2014-2015 season."  According to their predictions, Weber State will win the conference and the Eagles will finish second.

The Big Sky Conference official 2014-2015 men's basketball prospectus takes a more global look at the conference this season.  It also mentions that Coach Hayford's Eagles received 5 votes to be ranked in the CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25.  Weber State also received votes (9).

www.dudesonsports.com offers a preview of the Big Sky for this season as well.  They pick Weber State to win, but point to Eastern as a team that could surprise and could be dancing in the field of 68 come March.

USA Today lists Texas Southern as the 68th best team in the country this season.
