Big Sky Conference Schedule November 14, 2014 & November 15, 2014

Opening night for the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Season, here is whats on the schedule.

Eastern Washington Eagles vs Texas Southern Tigers
The Eagles open all of NCAA DI basketball this morning at 8 a.m. PST.  Eastern finished last season's non-conference schedule 5-6.  Texas Southern ended last season in the NCAA tournament after winning the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament.

Idaho Vandals vs Eastern Oregon Mountaineers
The Vandals return to the Big Sky Conference will start with a home game against Division II Eastern Oregon.   Tip off is at 8 p.m. PST.  Idaho finished its final basketball season in the Western Athletic Conference by losing to New Mexico State in the WAC Championship game.

Idaho State Bengals @ New Mexico Lobos
The Bengals finished 10th in the Big Sky last season, but didn't lose a single conference game by more than 8 points and took down Weber State in overtime February 17th, 2014.  The Lobos won 27 games last year and ended their season in the NCAA tournament.  Tip off is at 7 p.m. PST

Montana Grizzlies @ Colorado State Rams
The Grizzlies are starting nearly fresh with new Head Coach Travis DeCuire.  The Rams lost their opening round game of the Mountain West Conference tournament to end their 2013-2014 season.  Tip off is at 7 p.m. PST

Northern Arizona Lumberjacks @ Xavier Musketeers
The Lumberjacks look poised to contend for the Big Sky championship this season on the strength of a very good defense.  The Musketeers ended their 2013-2014 season in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.  Tip off is at 4 p.m. PST

Northern Colorado Bears vs Black Hills State Yellow Jackets
The Bears lost two key players from last years squad in Tate Unruh and Derrick Barden, but they still look deep and balanced.  The Division II Yellow Jackets are using this game as a warm up for their season.  Tip off is at 6 p.m. PST

Sacramento State Hornets @ Gonzaga Bulldogs
The Hornets are led by Senior Guard Dylan Garrity and looked poise to seriously contend for the Big Sky Conference Championship.  The Bulldogs have ended the last 16 seasons in the NCAA Tournament including last year's second round loss to Arizona.  Tip off is at 6 p.m. PST

Southern Utah Thunderbirds @ Kansas State Wildcats
The Thunderbirds finished dead last in the Big Sky last season behind an atrocious offense.  They were also one of the youngest teams in the NCAA Division I and should start to improve.  The Wildcats ended their 2013-2014 with a second round loss in the NCAA tournament.  Tip off is at 6 p.m. PST

Weber State Wildcats @ Utah State Aggies
The Wildcats won the Big Sky last season before losing to Arizona in the NCAA tournaments first round.  The Aggies ended their 2013-2014 season in the Quarterfinal Round of the Mountain West Conference Championship.  Tip off is at 6:05 p.m. PST

Montana State Bobcats @ UCLA Bruins
The Bobcats, like the Grizzlies, are trying to reset this season under a new Head Coach, Brian Fish.  The Bruins ended last season by losing to the Florida Gators in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.  Tip off is at 9 a.m. PST

North Dakota @ Northern Iowa Panthers
North Dakota will be rebuilding this year after 5 of 7 key contributors departed from last year's team.  The Panthers lost in the opening round of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament to end their 2013-2014 season.  Tip off is at 11 a.m. PST

Portland State Vikings @ USC Trojans
The Vikings finished last season winning 5 of 6 and advancing to the second round of the Big Sky Conference Tournament.  The Trojans struggled in the Pac-12 last season after winning 9 non-conference games.  Tip off is at 7:30 a.m. PST
