Player Profile: Jeffrey Forbes (#22) Senior Guard

Jeffrey Forbes #22, Senior Guard, 5’10” 170lbs.
Federal Way, Wa - Federal Way High School class of 2009.

Jeffrey has not started well this season. He's seen just 13 minutes per game in a crowded back court and has yet to make a basket. His strength has been defense and a pair of steals certainly shows he's still got very quick hands and the will to be a good defender, but 5 fouls in just two games makes it hard for him to contribute. Jeffrey will be fine as he settles into the season, but keep an eye on his minutes as we go forward.

Jeffrey Forbes had a fantastic Junior year and has set himself up for an even better Senior season. According to goeags.com, Forbes has a chance to break Marc Axton's record of games played (119) this year. The best game of his Junior Season came against the Idaho State Bengals in the first round of the Big Sky Conference Tournament. Jeffrey stepped up huge and scored 21 points on 5 of 6 from the three point line and 8 of 12 overall. His efforts in back to back games against Idaho State earned him the EWU Eagle Eye Player of the Week.

From goeags.com: Coach Hayford on Forbes: “Jeffrey Forbes is a winner.  He comes from a Federal Way program that is one of the best high school basketball programs not only in Washington, but on the West Coast.  He knows what it takes to win and his work ethic is outstanding.  He shoots the ball well, plays hard and has tremendous speed.”
