Player Profile: Collin Chiverton (#24) Senior Forward

Collin Chiverton (#24) Senior Forward, 6’6” 200lbs
San Jose, CA - Archbishop Mitty High School class of 2008

Collin has started slow this season and has shot well below his career average. At this point chalk it up to limited opportunities and playing from way behind on the score board in both games. Look for Collin to return to form as the season goes along. He is getting much less playing time than I would expect, so keep an eye out for news on that front, he's still one of the most talented scorers on the team, but can't contribute if he's not on the floor.

In his first campaign with the Eagles after transferring from City College of San Francisco, Collin provided instant star power.  His offensive game is marked by dazzling fireworks from long range and quick dribble driving that leave defenses scrambling to catch up.  Defensively, Collin uses his length and quickness well.  An injured foot limited him to 22 minutes a game last season, but he appears to be fully healthy and ready to go for 2012-2013.  Collin scored at least 20 pts in 12 games last year despite his injury limitations.

Chiverton was honored as last years Big Sky Conference New Comer of the Year and is the only returning Eagle from last year's Big Sky All Conference Team (he was an honorable mention).

From goeags.com, Hayford on Chiverton: “Collin is a winner and has played on highly-successful teams -- he has been a key player on all of those squads.  He is an extremely athletic player and has a great dribble-drive game.  He has extreme range in his outside shooting ability, and is a very strong offensive player.  He has great scoring ability, especially scoring in bursts.”
