First stop this morning, is rushthecourt.net for a look at their Morning Five October 22nd Edition which takes a look at five stories in the world of NCAA basketball.

Continuing our look at the national headlines, head over to http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com to check out this piece from Daniel Martin (Follow him on Twitter: @DanielJMartin_) covering Indiana's Cody Zeller.  Also check out this interesting story from Eric Angevine regarding the unique challenges faced by the extreme travel for the University of Hawaii Warriors.  Don't miss Rob Dauster's (Follow him on Twitter: @robdauster) look at 18 potential X-Factor players.  Lastly, for those interested in other College Hoops programs in the Inland Northwest, Raphielle Johnson (Follow him on Twitter: @raphiellej) offers this preview of the West Coast Conference.

No morning would be complete with out at least a little YouTube fun right?  Well one great place for that is the website of the Patchin Lukens and Osso radio show: 700espn.wordpress.com.  This morning take a look at the highlights of the Eagle Football Team's victory over Sacramento State.

Want to know what the radio call for those highlights sounded like?  Listen to Dennis Patchin here:

Now that you've watched and listened, head over to goeags.com for the recap of the 31-28 Eagle victory over the Hornets.

Jon (Follow him on Twitter: @bigskybball) of bigskybball.com, offers some news regarding a potential Big Sky Recruit deciding to take his game elsewhere.

Get ready for the season by checking out the official schedule at goeags.com.  The Eagles start out at home for an exhibition game on November 4th, before beginning what amounts to a 6 game road trip with a battle in Pullman against Washington State before heading south to California.  The Eagles will close out the season's opening month by hosting Cal State Fullerton on November 30th.

Finally be sure to keep up with the updates to the EWU Eagle Eye Player Profiles, most recent updates are Justin Crosgile (#5) and Jordan Hickert (#25).

*Previously, this post mistakenly listed the Eagles first exhibition opponent as Concordia University (California).
