Good Morning Eagle Fans!  Its time for a tour around the web to find all things Eagles, due to the Eagles not currently playing bball, there is a distinct lack of Eagle related bball news.  Don't fret though I've dug up plenty of good things to read about for the day.

Find out whats in store after the break:

Our first stop this morning is goeags.com, where we learn that EWU Eagle Freshman sensation Moira Hedburg has been named the Big Sky Conference Tennis Player of the Week.  We also get a glimpse at the latest addition to the EWU Football staff, former University of Idaho defensive lineman Brian Strandley who will assume the role of Tight Ends / Tackles coach for the Eagles.  They also offer information on the Orlando Killin fundraiser dinner and scrimmages, the proceeds of which go to benefit the areas of greatest need within Easter Athletics.  Events featured are a dinner, dance, auction as well as the Coach's golf tournament, the 41st annual Pelluer Invitational Track and Field meet, and scrimmages of the EWU Volleyball team, the EWU Soccer team and the Red-White Spring Football game.

New Reese Court Bleachers-148.jpgI did a brief post about this last night, but fundraising for EWU Athletics matters and it works.  According to the EWU Flickr.com page, Reese Court received newly remodeled Bleacher section with out spending tax dollars; "The Reese Court bleacher project replaced the old wooden bleachers on the North End side of the court behind the basketball teams. It holds 360 deluxe chairbacks seats and was paid for without using state tax dollars. Congrats to Coach Jim Hayford and his 6th Man Club, which raised the funds to remodel Reese Court."  Check out the Flickr.com page to see the complete pictoral of the remodeled bleacher sections.

Brian Lynn of Eastern 24/7 profiles a satisfyingly long list of accolades and awards won by EWU faculty, staff and students during 2011.  Check out The Year of the Eagles.

Finally, check out my latest additions to the Season Retrospectives, Highlights and 2012-2013 Outlooks; Jaylen Henry (#34) and of course more Eagle Basketball on Youtube via Cliff Colimon
