Rumor has it that we have finally made it to the weekend, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a tour of the Internet to see what’s happening in Eagle-land.  Of course its always fun to hear from you about the links I don’t include on these posts so please head hover to the Community Links page: http://bit.ly/y1T5Uf and share with the rest of us.

Jon at bigskybball.com thinks Portland State Senior Forward Chehales Tapscott has a pretty cool name, “My first and middle name (Centurion) mean, leader of the sand warriors,” said Chehales.

Paul Delaney of the Cheney Free Press has his recap of the Eagles loss to Weber State up, “I think we played them as tough as anybody has in their building this year,”  Said Coach Hayford.

Tom Giles of ESPNNorthwest.com offers this recap of the Eagle Women’s team losing their first road game of the Big Sky Conference season.  “Offensively, we didn't show the confidence we needed to beat a team like that. It is hard to win a game scoring 21 points in the second half, so that is on us, “ said Coach Wendy Schuller.

Chris McNealy (#5) averages 8.7 ppg

UCIrvinesports.com offers a preview from the ‘Eaters perspective on tonight’s match up with the Eagles.  Looks like we could see a lot of 3 pointers as UCI hits almost 8 per game and Eastern hits more than 9.  “UCI ranks first in the Big West in assists at 15.46 per game and third in rebounding (37.2), field-goal percentage defense (.421), three-point field goals made (7.73) and blocks (3.77).”

That’s all for now, but I’ll have more coming up today so check back often.
