Return of the Eagle Eye: EWU Eagle's Links for Saturday Morning

Good Morning Eagle’s Fans!  Thanks for hanging with me through the last several days.  Unfortunately my travel plans interrupted the blog much more than I anticipated because the hotel I stayed in was under construction that somehow reduced their wifi service to the point that it felt like dial up.  That being said there is a lot to catch up today so take a spin around the internet with me and check out what’s been going on over the past few days.

Brandon at gave us a nice preview of Thursday’s game against Montana and followed that up with a review of the match up as well.  Don’t forget to check out his update of the Eagles standings in the RPI calculations as well as a brief explanation for those unfamiliar with it.

Jon at offers his big sky twitter must follow list.  He also previews some possible match ups for the Big Sky teams in the ESPN sponsored Bracket Buster Challenge games, which will be announced on Monday.

Jon also let us know that his coverage of the conference is going to take a step back for a while.  Let’s hope he gets those batteries re-charged quickly!

Jim Allen of the Spokesman Review contrasts the preseason media polls with the current big sky standings and offers a glimpse of tonight’s game against the Bobcats.  Here is his review of Thursday’s game as well, including Laron Griffin saying that the upcoming game against the Bobcats is now a must win.

For a look from the other side, Bob Meseroll of the Missoulian offers his recap and points out that it was Head Coach Wayne Tinkle’s 46th birthday and Eagles Coach Jim Hayford lamenting, “You’re going to end up being down 13 points at half when you shoot 20 percent.”

Cliff Ederaine(#42) plays tough in the paint
with 13 rebounds and 10 points on the night. has this recap of the game as well highlighting Cliff Ederaine’s fourth double-double of the year and the Eagle’s inability to overcome a slow start to the game.

That’s it for now, but check back later for a preview of tonight’s match up with the Bobcats.
