Big Sky Conference Schedule January 14


Another good slate of games tonight in Big Sky Conference action including a titanic struggle for conference supremacy as Weber State hosts Montana.

Eastern Washington Eagles @ Northern Colorado Bears

Tip off at 3:05pm pst.  Eastern Washington (3-2, 9-8) is trying to extend their win streak to three games after a thrilling come from behind win over Sacramento State on Thursday night.  A win will match their win total from last season.  They will continue their road trip with a non-conference stop at Seattle University on Monday night.  Northern Colorado (2-2, 5-10) is just trying to keep pace with the conference after losing at home to conference rival Portland State on Thursday.  The Bears will spend the next two weeks on the road as they visit Montana, Montana State, Idaho State and Northern Arizona.

Montana State Bobcats @ Northern Arizona Lumberjacks

Tip off at 5:35pm pst.  The Lumberjacks (1-4, 5-12) are trying to put the brakes on a devastating streak in which they’ve lost 4 games by at least 16 points to conference rivals.  Montana State (2-2, 7-8) is looking to bounce back from a suffocating defeat at the hands of Weber State.  Next up for the Bobcats is a two game home against Sacramento State and Northern Colorado.  The Lumberjacks will get on the road next week to take on Weber State and Idaho State.

Montana Grizzlies @ Weber State Wildcats

Tip off at 6:00pm pst.  This match up features a pair of teams unbeaten in the Big Sky standings and a victory for Montana (4-0, 11-5) over favored Weber State (5-0, 13-3) would leapfrog them into the top of the standings and give them the inside track towards regular season conference supremacy.  Both Weber State (7) and Montana (6) enter the match up on impressive win streaks and will look to play hard in this important Big Sky battle.

Idaho State Bengals @ Sacramento State Hornets

Tip off at 7:05pm pst.  Idaho State (2-2, 8-8) is trying to get something going as they look stay out of the bottom of the Big Sky standings.  Their next stop is a game at Portland State on Monday before beginning a three game home stand against big Sky Conference rivals Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado and Weber State.  Sacramento State (0-4, 5-10) is desperate to end their 5 game skid after dropping a tough game at home against the Eagles.  Next up is a 2 game road trip to take on Montana State and Montana.

Portland State Vikings (2-3, 8-9) has the night off, they host Idaho State on Monday.
