Big Sky Basketball Schedule January 12, 2012


Tonight we could see some shaking in the Big Sky Conference standings as we have four conference games on the schedule:

Montana Grizzlies @ Northern Arizona Lumberjacks

Tip off at 5:35pm pst.  Montana (3-0, 10-5) is rolling on a 5 game winning streak including wins over Big Sky Conference rivals Portland State, Eastern Washington and Idaho State and will be looking to remain unbeaten in Conference play before heading to Weber State on Saturday.  ON the other end of the Big Sky ledger Norther Arizona (1-3, 5-11) is hoping to put the brakes on their current 3 game skid before playing host to Montana State on Saturday.

Montana State Bobcats @ Weber State Wildcats

Tip off at 6:00pm pst.  The Wildcats of Weber State (4-0, 12-3) are trying to extend their current 6 game winning streak as they begin a 3 game home stand that will feature visits from Big Sky rivals Montana State, Montana and Northern Arizona.  Montana State (2-1, 7-7) is looking to solidify their spot in the standings with a win here.  Next up for the Bobcats is a trip to Northern Arizona on Saturday.

Portland State @ Northern Colorado

Tip off at 6:05pm pst.  Portland State (1-3, 7-9) are looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Weber State.  The Vikings have the weekend off and then host Idaho State on Monday Night.  Northern Colorado (2-1, 5-9), fresh of a close fought victory over Sacramento State, are looking to start their home stand off with a win before hosting Eastern Washington on Saturday.

Eastern Washington @ Sacramento State

Tip off at 7:05pm pst.  Eastern Washington (2-2, 8-8) is trying to validate their dominating win over Northern Arizona and begin a run towards the top of the Big Sky Conference.  Their next stop is a game at Northern Colorado on Saturday before heading to Seattle for a non conference match up with the Seattle University Redhawks on Monday night.  Sacramento State (0-3, 5-9) is desperate to end their 4 game skid with a win at home over the Eagles before hosting Idaho State on Saturday.

Idaho State (1-3, 3-13) has the night off, they visit Sacramento State on Saturday.
